Day Training
Would you like your dog to get a little extra practice in while you’re at work?
I offer tutoring sessions, also known as Day Training, where I come and spend time working one on one with your dog while you’re away. In these hour long sessions, I’ll continue working with your dog on skills or behaviors we’re learning in private training sessions.
I may spend the time entirely in your home, or take your dog on field trips to places near your neighborhood to work on socialization or reactivity. It’s a great way to give your dog some extra enrichment when they’d usually be alone during the day while continuing to move forward in our training goals.

What to Expect
We will need to do an initial consult as well as at least one private session together before I begin a Day Training routine with your dog. This is to ensure that we are aligned on our training goals and that I'm working on the things you'd like help with.
On the days I work with your dog, I'll need access to your house, your dog's walking gear and a selection of your dog's favorite treats. I can provide long lines and other tools that I may need for the training session.
After the session I will contact you to let you know what we worked on that day and recap the successes we had and any challenges we may have run into.
Since every dog learns differently, I don't offer packages or a pre-arranged curriculum. We schedule sessions as needed, providing the flexibility to progress at your dog’s individual pace and adjust our plan to address new goals or challenges that may come up. You'll have a standing time reserved on my calendar and I’ll continue working with you until you feel like you’ve got it on your own.

A Few Reviews...

We have noticed a big change in Risky's reactivity since Liz...
We have a dog walker, and then we have Liz and she’s in a whole different category. She picks things for Risky to do on the days that she comes that keep pushing him forward in a good way. We have noticed a big change in Risky's reactivity since Liz has started working with him. She’s even met with our regular walker so that everyone is on the same page which is really appreciated because now instead of just letting him out to pee, our walker is also actually able to walk him. It’s like we have a whole team for Risky now and Liz helped make that happen.

Liz was good at communicating what the day’s lesson was...
We started training with Liz at a busy time for our family and had her come while we were at work/school. She taught our pup all the things that we kept meaning to get to. Liz was good at communicating with us to decide what the day’s lesson would be and then we’d come home to a worksheet left on our kitchen table and would try the new commands ourselves.

We keep Liz coming because our girl keeps improving...
Our big girl mastiff used to be kind of a nightmare to walk, when we started training with Liz we were ready to “just get this over with” honestly which is why we started doing the day visits. We opted in to all of it. I think it’s the best thing we could have done because honestly, we were so scared of walking her ourselves that we wouldn’t have gotten practice in between our regular training sessions. We do walk her now ourselves, but we keep Liz coming because our girl keeps improving.
